I've enjoyed vegetarian meals from time to time for several years, but I thought yogurt, cheese, and eggs were necessary ingredients to provide protein. Vegan cooking sounded rather restrictive and raw vegan food sounded unbearably dull and unappetizing.
Then I met Sandra Butler and got the culinary shock of my life! Her food was creative, interesting, and absolutely delicious! Pasta without wheat? Cream sauce without dairy?
Attending Sandra's class opened my mind to a whole avenue of new possibilities. My meat loving family isn't interested in huge changes, but even they welcome the occasional raw meatless meal when it's prepared from one of Sandra's recipes.
Though her recipes are delightful and her nutritional knowledge is encyclopedic, the deeper benefit of attending Sandra's class lies in her informal and sincere hospitality and her ability to create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for students with questions. Simply through her approach to her guest students, she teaches all who attend that, beyond the necessity of nourishing our bodies, food is a splendid way to share part of ourselves with those we love.

I attended a raw food demonstration and class at the Butler’s and was most impressed by both. A variety of different dishes was presented but I could not pick a “favourite” dish. Each was pleasing to the eye and the palate. Sandra was an enthusiastic, fun, and sincere host. She was thorough in her information on ingredients in each dish, the food purchase, comfortable in showing the preparation, as well as the availability of the ingredients in our community. Everyone enjoyed the food, had fun, and learned that a raw food diet can be very complete and satisfying at the same time. I am an advocate of healthy eating and I see a raw food diet as an advanced step to my vegetarianism.

I was excited to learn more about preparing raw food having heard so much about it from Sandra and Neil. Despite all that I know of the benefits from eating raw food, I have to admit I was struggling with the idea of making a life style change.
Sandra’s personal stories took the pressure off. She shared how she incorporated raw food into both her and Neil’s meals and each of them are certainly healthy proof of the benefits. By the end of the class I was convinced that this was definitely for me.
I not only learned how easy it is to prepare raw food but I also learned how to make good choices when selecting the food. I learned the importance of knowing what has been done to the food prior to coming to the retail shelf in order to ensure that the natural nutrients and enzymes have not been destroyed.
Truthfully, I was surprised at the exquisite taste of each of the dishes that Sandra prepared in class – Garden Soup, Savoury Crackers, Creamy Dill Pasta plus more. Not only that, I was ‘sufficiently sufonsified’ as Neil would say (which means pleasantly satisfied).
Thanks to Sandra’s Spirit In The Raw Class I am making it my goal to be a ‘raw foodist’ 75% of the time - for now.

I attended a trade show where Sandra was demonstrating "raw food" pizza and chocolate and I was amazed at how delicious both tasted and immediately decided to sign up for her class. I enjoyed my very first "cooking" class that I have ever attended, even though there wasn't any heat in the food preparation. Sandra was cheerful, confident and made the processes look so very easy. She had some great tips and alternatives to accommodate for my personal tastes (dates - yuck, raisins - yummy!). I have made the "pasta" at home and found it was so simple after Sandra's straight forward, easy to understand, tasty presentation. I highly recommend Sandra's class to expand your food experience and to go beyond just eating salads and raw fruit.

As an owner of Curves For Women, I am very health conscience and always open to ways to help my members obtain optimum health. When Sandra Butler came to me and said she was learning to be a Certified Raw Food Chef I was very excited to hear more.

I asked her if she would come and share some of her recipes at Curves. It was such a big hit that soon she was giving her classes in her home and at Curves. Sandra's classes were presented very well with a great variety of foods that can be prepared very easily in anyone's kitchen. Everything was delicious. You will want more especially the Creamy Dill Pasta and the Chocolate Brownies.

I took part in a Raw Foods class with Sandra Butler and so enjoyed it! I am always looking for ways to improve my health and better eating habits, but I was a skeptic about the raw foods as part of my daily life. I pictured eating salads and carrot sticks for the rest of my life and that did not interest me at all. After attending Sandra's class on raw foods and tasting and seeing how to prepare some of her raw food recipes, I am convinced that I now can ntroduce raw foods into my diet and enjoy eating it and love the taste that burst forth when left uncooked. At the same time I will be getting more nutrition and better taste from the raw foods I prepare for myself and my family.
